This time Denis Simachev was inspired by the crucial period in the history of Russia at the beginning of the twentieth century. This was the time of the «Russian renaissance» and carrot tea, the time of Batka Makhno, who was a sort of a swell fop and an indefatigable sex-machine, and red commissars chasing after him. It was the time of the captured coats and neckpieces on the proletarian «ladies» shoulders. The motto of the collection is «Peace for the World», and the main character is «Vasilvanych Chapaev» (pet-named VASYA), this all-time trash-icon and a hero of each female member of the Komsomol lurking dreams. The arsenal of a man in the next autumn and winter season is a combination of audacity, luxury, metrosexuality, and cool talk. The collection is made mostly in gray, brown, salad, pink, gold, silver and fluorescent ultrachameleon colors. These are the colors of a carnival, carefree laugh, bright jokes and absolute joy. Positive irony and Russian chic show through each cloth article. Common people’s autographs like «Katya — dura (Katya’s fool)» or «Zdes byl Vasya (Vasya was here)» on the photos of the odious megaidol Chapaev put this figure on the same level with ordinary people. There are caps of the caracul, the main fetish of the Soviet era leaders from Lenin to Gorbachev, embroidered with glass beads and strasses, felt cloaks resembling a poncho, leather waist and shoulder belts painted salad and decorated by Russian folk ornaments. After being specially treated, this paper preserves its valuable properties such as high heat conductivity and lightness and simultaneously shows absolutely new properties. Tempera applied on the crumpled surface of the naturally colored paper provides a unique effect and creates an impression of the paint peel-off on the creases. The effect achieved with pigments is also impressive. In addition, we developed an original method for the treatment of sheeting fabric. When ready clothes are allowed to shrink under special conditions, the fabric of which these are made surprisingly changes its texture and relief.
